This listing is for a 3 hour Intro to Beadmaking Class on May 3rd, class time from 2 to 5 pm, in person, at our studio on Salt Spring Island, BC.

Let's play with fire.
Beadmaking is an excellent and accessible way to try out the addictive medium of hot glass. Working with small amounts of glass that we melt on demand in small torches makes the process manageable but no less exciting!
This 3 hour class covers safety, studio set up, general hot glass and color theories, and basic bead making techniques. Between technique instruction there is ample free torch time to practice! You will sculpt between ten and fifteen of your very own glass beads that will be suitable for stringing into pendants, earrings or whatever you like.

Please note that all beads will need to anneal in the kiln over night and may be picked up the following day or can be mailed.
This class, or equivalent, is required for intermediate classes.
