Since the beginning of lock down, Stanley and Neacol have been stretching their skills daily and have been really adoring the results. As they grow as artists they are pushing outside of their usual forms to try new and exciting concepts.
This line of wall-mounted characters is the newest concept for them. Each wooden plaque mount is hand painted in colors chosen specifically for the character, and comes with an installed hanging hardware. The back is lined with felt to not damage your walls. We recommend affixing these to your wall with picture hooks or with a wide headed nail or screw.
This one features the Owl Bear that graces the cover of the upcoming DnD module, Icewind Dale.
The main component of this arrangement, the head, is sculpted in four parts. Each ram-style horn is sculpted separately, as is the furry ruff. The face is sculpted as a snowy owl - in white with a more realistic style than we usually attempt. He features pale blue details behind his black, almond shaped eyes (complete with a single white light reference), black spots and a little black beak. The horns are meticulously crafted from clear steel grey with a line of black ribbing along the top. The two-toned ruff is sculpted in dark grey and a bit of that pale blue to balance the color throughout.
Separately sculpted from the head are two talon-like claws, in dark transparent steel with black nails.
He's reaching for you. It's either a hug or your soul he's after.
